The rig your parents warned you about... - More pix page 2

Postby Fler » Sat May 30, 2009 1:08 pm

Well, it's been a long time in the making, and it's hardly 'complete' seeming i'm still waiting on Fractal Audio to release their midi controller, and the cabs hardly one to do the rest of the equipment justice. But well, it still sounds like Satan unleashed. That said, can sure sound sweet and clean too. I've only just set up this rig, the AxeFX I've had since November or something, same with the Diezel but until a few weeks ago it had spent all it's time in my techs workshop while we waited on a transformer to use it on 240v outlets from Diezel. I still have the 120v transformer if anyone in the US wants to buy it. The SC608b came a few weeks ago after I had to sell my PRS due to the neck carve being impossible to play with my wrist conditions (ironic seeming the 8 string neck is hell comfy), and the Caparison went over to Aussie.

Now with more advanced physio and a guitar that fits my body/hands nicely, i'm back on the playing road. And it's nice that I seem to sound better than ever. :-D
Anyway, enjoy the porn...

Looking damn fine there mate. Been playing much Meshuggah ? (potentially stupid question...) Interesting cab. Tried the Diezel through the recto 2x12" ?

Nah, my dad sold that off a few weeks ago. Along with the Hiwatt Custom 50, which totally broke my heart. Love that amp...

Oh and yes, very stupid question =P

Well, he claims financial problems. Meh...it ain't holding me down, but being self-employed is a bitch. I'm just thankful I have a few classical recording projects coming up to feed the wallet.

I have to try one of these Diezels.

I must admit I'm also starting to get curious about 7 & 8 string guitars

Haha yeah, I've already done a few drone 'performances' to myself with this rig nice and loud at home. Certainly can cause some serious ground shaking...no kidding, this thing rattles the building like nothing else I've had. Can't wait to shake some balls on it's first live outing in August.

Mind telling us how you incorporate the axe-fx?
